Set a reminder: “No Pain, No Gaines”, Chip Gaines’ second book, will be released on Tuesday, March 16.

“I’ll tell you, he poured his heart and soul into this book, and he hopes you love it,” Gaines says in a March 1 video on his Instagram, pointing to his own picture on the front cover.

No Pain, No Gaines” is “a book about networks,” but “not a book about networking,” the description on the Magnolia website reads. “It’s not about how to leverage your interactions with everyone you meet in an all-out sprint to get ahead. It’s about how to find a group of real people who will stand beside you as you bust your butt, who believe that authentic human connection is more important than any other earthly thing, who bet on each other instead of the status quo.”

The book is full of personal stories about how Gaines found his network through finding faith in others, staying hopeful, and going through the necessary pain needed in order to grow.

Chip’s first book, “Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff” was released in 2017. Joanna has several books of her own, including “Magnolia Table” and “Homebody“. They wrote “The Magnolia Story” together in 2016.
