Conspiracy theory, or straight up clue? Ever since Chip and Joanna Gaines announced back in January that they're expecting their fifth child, Fixer-Upper superfans have been predicting every single detail about the baby's arrival. While many fans are already trying to determine Joanna's due date, some have already moved on to determining the sex and name of the upcoming addition. But family matriarch Joanna may have been the one to let out the first clue as to the baby's specifics.
In an Instagram story earlier this month, Joanna posted a shot of herself sitting on the floor with her hands in a heart shape over her baby bump. Dressed casually in a cream-colored sweater and jeans, Gaines has a sneaky look on her face (with flawless hair and makeup, obviously.) "I like this rug a lot," she wrote, followed by some cutesy emojis and the hashtag "#EvieCollection."
Naturally, the mention of a female name set the interwebs ablaze with speculations that Joanna's special delivery would be a baby girl named Evie. And honestly, it doesn't seem like it's too far out there. Romper points out that the rest of the brood's female children, Ella Rose and Emmie Kay, have E names. (There are also two boys, Drake and Duke). Sounds like a pattern! And then there's the fact that Joanna does have a history of naming pieces of her furniture collection after her children, so it wouldn't be all that weird to have both a carpet and a baby named Evie.
Hey, at least we know the baby won't be named "Shiplap."
