When you are living alone, there's just one person to do all of the chores. It can be easy, depending if you do them regularly, or it can be hard. This gets harder when dealing with a fully family. It's never fair that only one person takes care of all of the kitchen chores. We found this app that turns all of the kitchen chores into a game!

Well, we use the term 'game' somewhat loosely, but we think that it will work with your kids. It kind of makes tracking the chores fun. Chore Hero isn't a game, more of a productivity app which enables you to assign chores to other members of your family. It can even assign chores at random, to mix things up.

When a chore is completed, the players earn some virtual points. You can assign some kind of a value to this, like pocket money, treats, TV time, or something else. It has to be an incentive. Chore Hero works with iPhones and iPod Touch.

Running the kitchen for a family is challenging, especially when everyone goes to school or work. This basically means that everyone needs to chip in. We think that Chore Hero is a way of trying to make chores a little bit more fun. With an added incentive, we're sure that you'll have your kitchen and home running smoothly. You could probably use a magnetic whiteboard on the fridge to do the same thing without the app, but we think that most kids have cell phones and using the app will make it hard to skip doing the task, since it tracks if the chore in completed or not.

It's available for $3 at the App Store. There is a free version that has some ads, but it limits the number of chores.
