The holiday season is in full swing and chances are good you’ve already started decking your halls for the holidays: Christmas tree in the living room. Wreath on the door. Candles in the window. Garland in the entryway. Nice job! But why stop there when you can take things to the next level by also trimming your tech?

The YAGE Tale LED Christmas light phone charger looks exactly like a traditional set of lights—twisty green wiring and all—and has multicolored bulbs along its 50-inch cord. Just plug one end into your phone and the other into your laptop’s USB port, and the bulbs will give off a warm glow as your cell’s battery gets new life.

If you turn your home into a winter wonderland every holiday season (or wish you could leave your Christmas lights up all year round), this charger is for you. And if you live in a tiny studio like me and don’t have a lot of room to put up a tree or store a box of decorations, it’s an easy way to get into the spirit of the season without taking up square footage. (I recently purchased one and have to say that seeing those colors shining brightly while I’m relaxing at night really does make everything feel more merry.)

But the best thing about the phone charger, besides being festive and functional, is that you can use it to spread cheer wherever you go. Take it to the office to dress up your drab desk or pack it in your carry-on so you can dazzle your family during your holiday visit.

When the season’s over, you can simply stash it away in a drawer until you’re ready to decorate next year. And if that means you’re going to start in July, hey, we promise we won’t judge.
