A little bit Scandinavian....and a little bit seventh grade. Do you remember pulling off this amazing feat of electricity at the 'ol science fair? Lemons, electrodes and a light bulb? I do, except it didn't look anywhere near as good and the bag of backup lemons actually ended up as a contest between friends to see who could eat them like oranges. Seriously, I remember that.
In all seriousness though, the citrus clock by Anna Gram does actually work, as Alessandro Volta found out way back when. Just cut up a lemon and you've got a weeks worth of juice...for the clock. Pair this with the DIY bent ply lamp and you have a stylish DIY desk set.
