Your dream afternoon in Paris may include a leisurely four-hour stroll through the Louvre followed by two hours sipping café au laits and people-watching at a sidewalk café, but that's probably not your kids' idea of a good time. Building on the popularity of their City Walks series, Chronicle Books has begun making versions aimed at families.
So far four have been released, the most recent being Paris. Washington DC, New York and San Francisco were published in 2007. Rather than a book to lug around, City Walks are card sets. Flip through them and pick out the ones you want as your vade mecum for the day. Also included is a foldable map to give you an overview of each city and the adventures you might have there.
The City Walks with Kids cards are $15 - we hope more cities are forthcoming!
