Aside from the going there for basic home supplies (lightbulbs, knobs, screws, etc.), the staff roam around asking if they can help you with the more challenging stuff before you get the chance to ask them. And believe me, I’ve asked some, uh, “stupid” questions, but they never make me feel that way. This place has been around since 1924, and while we’ve worried that their days may be numbered (Home Depots loom), we were excited to see their new signage out front the other day, showing off a renewed confidence in an old, well-run shop.
This is THE go-to place for rental services (we won’t list them all, but you can rent pretty much anything you can think of here (including “earthmoving equipment”).
The store even offers free, monthly in-store seminars, covering topics from working with tile to basic electricity to landscaping.
