Clean Your Garbage Disposal With Vinegar Ice Cubes

You may know to clean your garbage disposal by pouring in a little baking soda and vinegar before plugging the drain. But I recently come across a similar idea that not only cleans but sharpens your disposal blades as well!

Once a week, toss in a few frozen cubes of white vinegar and turn on your disposal. The vinegar will get in all the moving nooks and crannies that are otherwise hard to get to and the ice will sharpen your blades.

It's actually the best of both worlds, assuming you can remember to warn guests which tray is which in your freezer before they fill a glass with ice! If it helps you remember, add a small drop of food coloring to the vinegar before it's poured in the tray.

Do you have another good not-so-obvious cleaning tip? Let us know below!
