While some people avoid scented cleaners due to certain sensitivities, I, on the other hand, am drawn to great smelling products — especially new ones. Even if I can’t smell it in person, a unique fragrance combination or description is enough to entice me to buy and try a cleaner; this is especially true in the summertime.

While I enjoy cleaning generally, I dread doing it in the heat of a Southern California summer. Using scented cleaners helps my home smell fresh and pleasant for longer, so when I stumbled upon Cleancult’s All-Purpose Cleaner in sweet basil scent, I was excited to try it out on every surface in my home.

Why I Love Cleancult’s All-Purpose Cleaner in Sweet Basil Scent

I’ve been a longtime fan of Cleancult’s products, particularly its laundry detergent, so the moment I realized the brand’s all-purpose cleaner comes in three intriguing summer scents, I had to try one. While I love all things lavender and lemon verbena, the sweet basil caught my attention because it’s a little more unexpected and I thought it’d be a nice change from the typical floral and citrus scents. I was in love at first spray! It has a light and refreshing fragrance with a hint of sweetness, but mostly herbaceous. It also smells clean, but not in a chemical way.

To make sure this cleaner didn’t just smell great, but also works well, too, I tested it on the back of my stainless steel double sink and simply wiped it away with a damp knit cloth. It worked like a charm so I sprayed it over the entire sink. I lightly scrubbed it with my favorite sponge, rinsed it with water, and wiped the outer parts with the cloth. Not only was my entire sink sparkling clean, it smelled fresh. While the key to a fresh-smelling sink is usually a clear drain, this all-purpose cleaner definitely helped.

I love that this all-purpose cleaner is in an aluminum bottle, which makes it easy to recycle but even easier to opt for paper refills from Cleancult. It also contains gentle ingredients so I don’t have to worry about harming my skin or the environment. While the sweet basil scent is not available on Amazon, the wild lavender and lemon verbena ones are available in packs of three so you can enjoy a bit of summertime all year long.
