Unlike traditional speakers with components that break down over time, Glass Speakers are able to maintain their sophisticated level of performance forever. By employing the concept of sound projection thru glass, glass speakers can deliver true 360° sound to produce an optimal listening experience for any member of an audience.

Sony 360 Glass Speaker, Sountina NSA-PF1
Omnidirectional sound from an organic glass tube tweeter. The "Sountina" NSA-PF1, is an elegant speaker system offering a room-filling soundstage. Such original technology also proved a font of inspiration for the designers, but how did they channel their creative energies into this sonic sculpture? The four columns linking the glass parts contain oscillators to vibrate the organic glass tube. Proprietary elements contract to drive the tweeter, offering excellent power and responsiveness. The result is vibrant, high-resolution sound conveying subtle nuances. In design, we combined all the pieces in the basic structure in a logical way to make this happen.

Ferguson Hill FH001 and FH007 Mini System
People seem to want speakers and audio gear that "disappears" and still sound great. Ferguson Hill makes a full line of see-through designs, and from the looks of it the FH001 just might be a real contender. It's a "horn" speaker made of clear acrylic, and its ultrahigh efficiency design allows it to play nice and loud with as little as 3 to 50 watts. So there's no need to use the FH001 with power hungry amplifiers! Horn speakers are easily the "greenest" of speaker types, and work well with even the smallest, most power-efficient amplifiers. With a claimed frequency response of 150 Hertz-20 kHz the FH001 doesn't need separate tweeter and midrange drivers, most of the sound comes from one driver in the apex of the horn. Bass is the job of the FH002, a 24 inch acrylic sphere fitted with a 12-inch woofer.

The FH007 offers the same sound quality but at a reduced scale. Ideal for a desk!
