Q: My husband and I are in the process of buying a new home that we’ll be moving into with our two dogs. In our current home we use two stacked tension dog-gates to keep the dogs in our dining area when we want the kitchen or living room to ourselves but we’re not sure what to do in the new house. The new home is an open floor plan and the smallest space we could gate is about 7.5′ across.

After the opening of several cat cafes and even a hedgehog cafe over the past few years, the sun is finally shining on dog lovers with a new dog cafe called Boris & Horton, which is opening in the East Village in December — by combining the two spots on the corner of East 12th and Avenue A formerly occupied by Ost Cafe and Raclette.

39 Times Pets Were So Cute I Barely Noticed the Decor
This year’s house tours featured some of the most gorgeous homes yet. Stunning studio apartments were small but beautifully furnished. There were homes that were short on stuff, but big on style. We even saw well-decorated tiny homes…on wheels. Frankly, homes across America AND around the world impressed me with warm, welcoming, unique and lovely interiors. Really the only thing I enjoyed seeing more than the beautiful homes…were the amazingly adorable furry inhabitants!
