Colorful Entry Doors: Yellow, Blue, Pink, Green & Purple

Whether the entry door is a touch of color against a neutral background or part of a continuing blast of color for a modern home, the exterior door is a guest's first impression of what is to be discovered inside the house. In a block of homes, the bright door usually stands out amongst the rest. Growing up in a traditional neighborhood, I stand neutral when seeing a bright red door against a white exterior. However, my interest is sparked in seeing examples of other colors used in various styles and locations of homes.

We could generalize and say that certain color exterior doors reflect particular parts of the country or particular styles, but we would easily be proven wrong. Even though we used to associate a red door with a traditional aesthetic, different styles of red doors are often used in modern architecture.

What color is your exterior entry door? Would you go for something bold and bright?
