Compact Desks

We've looked at kid's furniture before to find some wonderful compact solutions for small spaces, but desks - and tables in general - can be a little tricky. You'd hate to purchase one online only to find out your legs don't actually fit underneath it. But if you keep in mind that the average desk height is about 29.5 inches, you can find plenty of versions that work perfectly well for adults too...

We found the Truss Library Desk shown at top in 2modern's teen section for $785. At 28" this one is just shy of the average height but is still tall enough to work for most adults.
The beauty shown directly above is the Offi Wave Writing Desk available through Inquisitive Kid, that clocks in at exactly 29.5" in height. With a price tag of over $1200 it's a bit steep for a kid's room, but it's made for all ages and the compact shape would be perfect for a tiny office corner.
Have you ever decorated a grown-up room with pieces from the kids department? Let us know below.
