Berlin-based illustrator Katrin Rodegast created this surreal appliqué quilt to represent "social reality." Slightly bizarre — but appealingly intricate and colorful — the piece deftly combines folk art tradition with popular culture and digital technology.
Featuring a sometimes lovely, sometimes gruesome iconography, the printed cotton quilt is one of the first textile pieces by the artist who offers her quilts by commission. Visit Katrin Rodegast's website to see more of her work.
