Personally, we think that every home should come standard with dimmers in every room. Not only do they help reduce energy use (and thus, also reducing your energy bills), but they can also help you achieve the perfect mood in every room in your house. Here are a few options for dimming with a touch...

Catry RTS2030 Dimmer
We love the true glass touch surface and backlight for great visibility. You have the option of gradually going up or down or just on and off. The are set up for multi-way switching and look very modern. A great option for upgrading your old, conventional switch; and even comes with a remote control. Pretty neat!

Leviton Black Monet Fluorescent Slide Light Dimmer
These are great if you need to control fluorescent lights. It's a hi-end commercial grade switch that you can use at home. Comes with a matte finish and they were designed originally for museums and galleries. They are low profile and minimalistic. The sliding switch is smooth and has a built-in push on/off, so no matter where you left the adjustment, it will resume with just a push. A soft green LED will indicate the status of the load.

Vierti Dimmer by Lutron
These can be used for single pole or even multi light control. We love that one model can be used for incandescent, halogen or even magnetic low voltage. It comes with automatic multi-gang alignment for quick and easy installation. Comes in several colors to match any decor and its low profile and thin foot print makes it ideal for less intrusive installations.

Also, who could forget about this great concept: The Floor Plan Light. Created by Taewon Hwang, It's more like an intelligent panel with your own floor plan and you can decide which section of your house to light up. This is what the future is going to be for sure!
