We're always excited to see new developments in shelving and storage. Whether it's modular building blocks or a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece, these shelves had us looking twice (at least).

& 2 DesignMilk | Imeüble by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad — wall-mounted shelves from the recent Oslo National Academy of the Arts grad.

Nureyev bookshelf tower by Roderick Vos for Linteloo — available at M2L in Manhattan.

Contemporist | KONNEX by Florian Gross — 3 sizes of slotted cubes interlock for nearly endless storage possbilities!

Mimic Modular Cubes from Crate &Barrel — $80 each and available in walnut, black and white with a tempered glass top. Stackable up to 4 units high.

& 7 DesignMilk | Parallel World Shelving by Dzimitry Samal — wall-mounted shelves keep your floor free and clear! Debuting at April's Milan Design Week.

& 9 & 10 Deco-Design | BOOKIE from Targa Italia — this system from Targa Italia isn't new but it's new to us!
