Cooper's Tea Party Play Mat

If we had an applause-o-meter our hands would be red from clapping! Fallon made this tea party mat for her young friend, Cooper, and we think it's just delightful. The only negative thing we have to say about it is it put the Wiggles "To Have a Tea Party" song in our head.

Playing tea party is at the top of the list for many kids and this version seems especially suited to small kids and small homes - nothing to break and very little to store. Fallon used lace and doilies for a very sweet touch, but you could make it less girly if you wanted. Cleverly, she put velcro under the cookies so the hostess could exercise good manners and share them with his or her guests.

Head on over to Fallon's blog Sweetfancy for more detailed photos and to see all the other cool things she's up to. And if you like this sewing project, Fallon's Etsy shop, Olive, is filled with handmade goodies (like a teacup pillow!).
