Cornishware Collection

I had some of these at home as a child and loved them. They are smooth, solid and comfortable in the hand. And they have that warm and fuzzy look, that is also modern and not seen around right now.

Cornishware pieces are fired, coated with white slip which is allowed to dry and then coated with the blue slip. When this is dry the pieces are mounted on a lathe and bands of blue slip are turned off to reveal the

white body beneath. Then they are fired again. This process gives the pieces the texture of the bands that they are known for and that cannot be achieved by painting the stripes onto the pieces.
