Corona Solar Lights

As far from ugly as you can get. Home Tech has already blogged this, but we felt it needed more play: Corona Solar Lights. How many of you have been turned off by the current solar outdoor lighting options?...

We saw these lights at ICFF and were instantly drawn to them. Corona Solar Lights, simply put, are beautiful form coupled with total practicality (outdoor lighting that requires no batteries or wiring) and smart, green design (Solar panel, LED's and no glues or fasteners for easy recycling)

Designed by Shane Kohatsu and Emi Fujita, the Corona won the Editor's Award for Best New Design this year at ICFF. They were swamped with publicity. When we talked with them, they were very sweet and modest, and actual retail models were months away. They only had the prototypes we saw on display. We tried to borrow one for the Test Lab, but they wouldn't budge. Too darn smart, we thought. Now out palms are sweating for when we can buy them. We see uses for these indoors (near the window, of course) and out.
