Costco Is Selling a $15 Fiddle-Leaf Fig Plant
Mask up, start the car, and set your destination to your nearest Costco. The discount retailer is currently selling a $15 fiddle-leaf fig plant at multiple locations, and plant parents know that is an incredible deal.
Costco-centric Instagram account @TheCostcoCraze spotted the $15 fiddle-leaf figs at their Costco in Fremont, California less than a week ago. “So excited to add this #FicusLyrata aka fiddle leaf fig to my home collection!” they wrote in the caption. “Not only is it pretty, but it also helps purify air! And it’s only $14.99!”
Instagram account @Costco_DoesItAgain also spotted the fiddle-leaf fig plants at their Garland, Texas Costco location, where they were being sold for $16.99.
As commenters on each post mentions, the fiddle-leaf figs are most likely being sold at Costco locations in warm-weather areas around the U.S. due to the fact that fiddle-leaf figs are tropical. However, even if you’re in a cooler climate, it’s definitely worth giving your local Costco a call to see if they are carrying fiddle-leafs.
Fiddle-leaf figs (Ficus lyrata) are native to the rainforests of West and Central Africa and have blown up in popularity on social media in recent years. They produce beautiful, large leaves and will grow to astounding heights if replanted in larger pots.
So, if you’ve been meaning to add a fiddle-leaf fig to your collection but haven’t pulled the trigger due to the cost, now is the time to do so if your local Costco is one of the many selling this gorgeous tropical plant. And once word spreads that fiddle-leaf figs are basically being given away, they’ll be gone, so make the trek to your local Costco sooner than later.
