Flor carpet tiles have been all the rage for quite some time. They are customizable for any space and can easily be replaced if once gets stained, but there are limited by the patterns sold and the shape. Well, that was until someone thought outside of the box and did something so obvious it's genius. Why didn't we think of cutting them in half sooner?
Amanda of Red Jet Whistle loved Flor tiles, but wasn't in love with any of their patterns so she took matters into her own hands. After laying out the pattern in InDesign, Amanda took a knife and a straight edge to a few of her tiles and created a one of a kind rug for her living room! Oh, and before you ask, she made that coffee table out of a butcher block counter top from Ikea and some vintage hairpin legs!
