Create Large-Scale Printable Google Maps
Running Google Maps on our iPhone is great to navigate about town. But part of the fun of out-of-town road trips is unfolding that giant paper map and making your way across the countryside.
But who knew technology could help us get that nostalgia back?
Google Map Buddy lets you select an area from Google Maps' global reach and gives you the raw, high-resolution PNG file that you need to send your map to the printers.
Lifehacker warns that the program isn't perfect and provides some tips for getting through the process gracefully. But for a free download, you can't really ask for more.
