Create Your Own Grassy Charging Station

Grass as a decor element is nothing new here at Unplggd. A little touch of green in a home and home office really does go a long way in providing a friendly, soothing, organic element to a space that might otherwise verge on being too cold and industrial. In addition to the visual appeal of such in-home greenery, there is also the air quality boon that comes from greening up your home with plants. Although it lacks the air cleaning bonus since its made from fake grass, we still think this DIY charging station adds value in the form of that oh so lovely pop 'o green.

Inspired by grassy charging stations, like the one above, Instructables user Elite Noob has created this simple DIY project that cost less than $4 to make.

This DIY project is really quite astoundingly simple and requires very few parts and tools to make.To make this charging station you will need a patch of synthetic grass, your charging cables, and a container with a hole in it. The only tools required are scissors to cut the synthetic grass to fit the container and cable.

We love the look of grass incorporated into a home office, like Brice Reul's desktop grass above and we think this DIY project is a fun and easy way to get a similar effect.

Check out the post on Instructables, for the ultra easy DIY instructions.
