Yesterday we promised the deets on Carolyn's DIY faux bois creation and today--we deliver. You've probably seen a similar vintage side table in your local thrift store (and now you have a new and fun way to transform it).

Carolyn's table had been sitting alone in her basement just begging to be included in her home's decor. She first painted a base coat of robin's egg blue and once it dried, mixed brown interior paint with a clear glaze for the top coat. In small circles, Carolyn brushed on the top coat and immediately dragged a woodgrain tool (similar to this one) in a rocking motion through the paint. She also suggests checking out some YouTube videos for more detailed instructions.
