Creed's Big People Yellow Party

Creed's Big People Yellow Party

Creed's robot party for little people was such fun, how could his mom Stephanie top it? With a beautiful yellow-themed party for adults. Yellow is far and away Creed's favorite color and keeping the theme simple allows for lots of creativity and resourcefulness.

This might look like an expensive, elaborate party but Stephanie was committed to a modest budget and simply made a big impact by making the most of some inexpensive items and materials. In her words: So let's be frank here, we did not want to spend a lot of money on a birthday party for our two year old and we were already feeding everyone dinner so the decorations had to be non-existent or CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP! I still wanted it to create a magical day for Creed and I wanted our guests to feel special.

So what did she do? She cut small flags from yellow felt and sewed them into a festive bunting, she used decorative scrapbook paper to jazz up some photo frames, she doctored up some (already) adorable photos of her son and she added a quick hem to fabric for a yellow tablecloth that she'll continue to use on an everyday basis.

And what better way to add a big dose of yellow to the party than to request require guests wear yellow themselves. Setting up a photobooth (with yellow backdrop of course) produced both sweet, hilarious and memorable photos of the evening.

You can see plenty of other photos as well as read about the invitations and food at Simply Radiant.
