If you’ve been scrolling through your social feeds lately, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of people have suddenly become obsessed with bread making. In fact, we were planning to do a Critics’ Picks roundup of the best bread machines out there… only to find that most machines are sold out and there aren’t many out. Luckily, we found one of the few bread machines that’s still in stock, and it’s a good one: Cuisinart’s compact bread maker, which is on sale for $110 at Williams Sonoma (that’s 40 percent off!), and backed by a 4.6-star rating and rave reviews.

Making bread in this machine couldn’t be easier! Just pick a recipe, add your ingredients into the bread pan, hit start, and the machine does all the work, kneading, raising, and baking the dough and even keeping the loaf warm. The bread maker comes equipped with 12 pre-programmed settings, giving you the flexibility to choose between a variety of bread types like white, French, whole wheat, artisanal, gluten-free, packaged mix, and more. You can customize the color of your crust — light, medium, or dark — plus, there’s even a handy 13-hour delay-start feature you can set to begin baking overnight so you’ll awaken to the aroma of a fresh loaf.

“There is nothing more enjoyable than the smell of a baking loaf of bread,” says a happy reviewer. “Its very simple to load the bread pan, press a few buttons and wait. Highly recommended.” Another reviewer adds: “Kneading is tough on my joints, so my husband bought me this bread machine. Love the thought of having the machine do the hard work.”

Another major pro: the compact footprint of the machine (10.25 inches x 13.25 inches x 11.25 inches), which takes up very little countertop or cabinet space. “Fits perfectly in my studio apt,” confirms a customer.

Cuisinart’s bread maker is also fitted with a clear glass window and an LCD display screen that gives you real-time updates and more control on the baking status of your loaf. Once you’re done baking, just wipe all the parts down with a damp cloth or sponge, and it’s ready to go another round.

While the machine may be a little bit of an investment, it’s likely to save you money in the long run. “Absolutely love it!” said a reviewer. “I’ll never buy another loaf of bread again!”
