You and Your BFF Can Exchange Socks With Your Faces on Them for Christmas
If you’ve been looking for a way to show everyone just how obsessed with your BFF you are, look no further. You can now print socks with your face on them, meaning you and your bestie can sport socks with each other’s faces. Just in time for Christmas!
Apparel company DivvyUp sells customizable prints that will knock your socks off. You can choose from an assortment of sock patterns, from dog socks, face socks, cat socks, birthday socks, wedding socks, Santa hat socks, and more. Pretty much all of the holidays are covered from Christmas, to Valentine’s Day, to Father’s Day, and on.
On top of choosing from an assortment of festive patterns, you can also pick which color you’d like the socks to be ranging from blue, purple, pink, green, and more. The socks come in youth (ages 5-12), small (men’s 4-7, women’s 5-9), and large (men’s 8-12, women’s 10+).
The company got started in 2014 when the founders were still in college and they realized they needed something more than anything else. Socks.
The phrase that started it all. As sophomores in Florida State University’s entrepreneurship program, we took a trip to our local homeless shelter looking for an opportunity to help. Expecting to hear “food” or “shelter,” we were surprised to learn there was a huge need for clean socks. The inspiration for DivvyUp was born.
Wanting to start giving immediately, our professor provided us with a $400 loan to purchase and sell fun socks with a mission to give a pair to the shelter for every pair the community purchased.
Setting up around campus wherever we could, we were able to give 160 pairs of clean socks to the Tallahassee homeless shelter after the first six weeks.
Each pair of customizable socks begins at $24 for socks with one face on them. For two faces, the socks cost $30, and for three faces, they cost $36. If you know your bestie would love these socks, but you just cannot choose the right photo, you can always get them a gift card to DivvyUp and let them design their own pair.
If you order these for Christmas, you know what the perfect thing to wrap them in is? Gift wrap with your face on it! It seems like in 2018, you can put your face (or your friend’s face or your dog’s face) on just about anything.
