Cyndi Lauper’s Room Lined With Picture Ledges Looks Like a Museum

Girls just want to have fun — and stylish ledges filled with photographs to zhuzh up empty walls. Cyndi Lauper would probably agree to this sentiment. The award-winning singer shared a glimpse into her home on TikTok while performing a socially-distanced duet of her hit song “Time After Time” with English singer Sam Smith. The powerhouse vocals are dreamy, yes, but one cannot help but be preoccupied with the background of Lauper’s performance: a hallway lined with picture ledges that house framed black-and-white photographs, evoking a swanky minimalist art museum. 

For those who aren’t quite keen on the gallery wall trend, picture ledges are another contemporary design alternative. Lauper went with black-and-white images rather than mixing and matching various colored photographs, offering a more succinct, put-together look. Like gallery walls, picture ledges offer a great way to dress up otherwise empty, dull walls in rooms or hallways, especially when space is limited.
