Dag Designlab: Alarm Controller Goes Minimal

As a remedy for a world of overcomplicated home security measures, Dag Designlab has created one of the simplest solutions we've seen yet. Combining two of man's most basic instincts - sight and sound - this blessed alarm controller injects your home a blistering screech when an intruder is detected, but also provides a friendly red LED that lets you know that it is armed and ready to go.

Provided it still remains a concept, we think implementing a similar user-friendly solution that utilizes these simple mechanics may be just the thing DIYers are looking for. Who knows, some manufacturer out there might even tap a goldmine that's just begging to be dug into.

Heck, if someone manages to eloquently combine those ideas mentioned above, why not take it a step further? Add on automated home security locks utilizing smart-keys (an idea we've seen before allowing users to turn off their home security system wirelessly) and you've got yourself an instant buy for me. But I'm still waiting though, and patiently so.

What do you imagine your dream home security system to be like? Let us know in the comments!
