I think that art collecting gets a bad rap. It’s understandable to envision dropping thousands on valuable pieces, only to have to hold your breath every time someone comes over or brushes past them. But lucky for all of us mere mortals, this doesn’t have to be the case! There are a ton of beautiful and affordable art pieces out there, you just need to know where to look. That’s why we’ve dug through some Marketplace gems to find some of our favorite pieces to kickstart both your collection and art appreciation.

Let’s start with the “traditional” pieces. If you’re looking to get the biggest bang for your buck, the modern art collection pictured above ($150) would look just as nice displayed individually as they do in a group. This 1960’s graphic pop art piece ($125) would be a bright and playful addition to any home, as would this gallery-wrapped acrylic abstract ($350). Want a dose of authentic pop culture?
