We spend our days scouring the Marketplace for gems you can’t find anywhere else. Buy and sell with over 200,000 neighbors that love quality home furnishings and good design.

When you’re ready to upgrade from hand-me-down dressers, take a look at MCMBKNY. The Brooklyn-based online store specializes in mid-century modern furniture. They offer local delivery in New York City and shipping across the country. Along with dining table sets and credenzas, they carry beautiful tallboys. Pictured above is a vintage wardrobe piece by American of Martinsville ($900) with five drawers, three hidden behind doors and an additional two large drawers on the bottom. The stately exterior makes it feel grand, no one will know if your belongings are a mess behind the closed doors. But if they are, see what to get rid of right now.

Check out the sculptural legs on an Asian-inspired piece (above left). The walnut wood and black accents gives it a bit of flair. On the right, the burl wood tallboy by Thomasville furniture has an almost cathedral-like feel to it with the arch detailing. Both are available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace for $800 each.

Design Within Reach

Design Within Reach fans often hunt the Marketplace feed for discontinued lines and secondhand deals. Take for example DWR exclusive, the Cross dining table (pictured above) designed by Matthew Hilton for Case Furniture. The solid oak frame extends to three sizes and seats up to 12 of your closest friends and family. It retails for $3,990 but is selling on Marketplace right now for $2,850. Other freshly listed Design Within Reach furniture for sale include the Theater Sofa in grey leather ($950) and the tri-paneled Bellavista Mirror (DWR circa 2004) by Carlo Marelli and Massimo Molteni ($1,500). I’m eyeing the pair of chic Alessia folding chairs, $200 for the set that normally retails for $200 each.
