Did you know that David Bowie was a fan of Memphis Design? It’s not all that surprising that the man who brought us Ziggy Stardust was into the wildly colorful and graphic ’80s style. Next month, a hundred pieces from the late icon’s personal collection are hitting the auction block.

Sotheby’s is hosting the auction on November 11, when work from Memphis greats like Ettore Sottsass, Peter Shire, and Marco Zanini will be up for grabs. The least expensive pieces are expected to go for £60, whereas Sottsass’ Carlton room divider is expected to fetch £7,000.

The day before, the auction house will conduct two events featuring pieces from Bowie’s modern and contemporary art collections.
