Liveblogging Day 8: Plenty of Polenta

As you've probably gathered, the January Cure is about more than just cleaning and organizing for the sake of cleaning and organizing. This weekend's chores really reminded me of that. Put in the time and elbow grease to clean the kitchen, and the reward is actually using the kitchen.

I have a bit of a cookbook addiction (part of my master goals list includes adding wall shelves for better cookbook storage), and Santa added to my collection with one of my latest favorites, Herbivoracious. I was excited to dig in to Michael Natkin's gorgeous book for a new recipe to try. I chose the Stuffed and Baked Polenta because it's an ingredient I don't often use, and it would make great leftovers for the week ahead.

The results were delish (even the picky little bro enjoyed it!) and there's plenty left for weekday lunches. Sitting at the kitchen table and savoring a meal was well worth the dishes in the freshly wiped sink and some spatters on the just-cleaned stove.
