The first Brimfield Antique Market of 2015 is well underway, and we were there on day 1 to scope out the action. With acres and acres of fields to explore, it can be a bit overwhelming to the uninitiated. We asked some real experts — the dealers!—for their best tips for shopping the expansive show. Here’s what they had to say:

Next, I chatted with Heather of Heja Home about shopping, cleaning, and displaying vintage textiles, rugs, and fiber art.

Right next door was Barge Canal Market, where Adelle gives us tips on how to shop for, clean, and redo secondhand upholstered pieces (and shows off this amazing blue velvet Thunderbird!!).

Last but not least, I asked Ryan of Brimfield Flea Finder about what’s trending, how to navigate such a large event, and what tips he has for each of Brimfield’s different weeks.
