With the blizzard and the ensuing craziness dominating our thoughts this week in Washington, I completely forgot about the Olympics until the talented Lauren of Tara and Thyme shared another one of her wonderful projects with us: the festive flower display that she's using for her opening ceremony party tonight.
You may remember Lauren from her fabulous DIY Christmas tree which she shared with us over the holidays.
Lauren's current project, although a bit less labor intensive, is equally as sweet. She created her simple Olympics inspired centerpiece by using food coloring to tint the water vases of her grouping of single stem tulips, mimicking the colored rings of the Olympic crest. Check out her full post on Tara and Thyme.
The Olympics have always been one of our family's favorite events, however we've never attempted to celebrate the awesome event with our decor...until now— I'm totally stealing Lauren's idea! Let the games begin!
