Dignified & Delightful: Decorating with Driftwood

Dignified & Delightful: Decorating with Driftwood

I just returned from a gorgeous wedding in Florida, where my eyes were glued to the driftwood scattered on the beach. I spent the cross-country flight back to San Francisco thinking about how I could integrate some of the earthy simplicity of driftwood into our modern, urban decor.

From the looks of it, driftwood is not just for the beach house. The gorgeous modern furniture from Bleu Nature (image two) would make a brilliant addition to any contemporary home. Another great idea would be a DIY project along the lines of the abstract wall art (image number four) from House and Home. Spray painting the wood in bright colors would give it a bold and polished look. Reclaimed, recycled, and simply radiant.
