Design Direction: Gold for the Tabletop

The midas touch was out in full force at Ambiente. A large part of the the international design show I attended over the weekend was focused on tabletop and the trend toward gold was definitely in evidence in these collections, from the more mainstream suppliers right on up to the high end, high design pieces.

As I walked the aisles of the show, I snapped photos of gold whenever it caught my eye and the ten examples pictured here are just a drop in the bucket of golden goods shown at Ambiente. A touch of glitz for the dining room looks to be here to stay for a while.
