Glassybaby: Design for a Cause

Glassybaby: Design for a Cause

Glassybaby is a Seattle-based glass retail and sculpture company that creates sleek, modern glass cups, vases and votives. I recently had the opportunity to photograph the interior of the University Village, Seattle shop.

The pieces are moderately priced, and as an added incentive, Glassybaby donates a substantial amount of their profits to cancer patients' everyday needs, including bus fare, childcare, or groceries. The Glassybaby shop itself has a clean, modern feel and each piece is handblown with a creative name like Lamb, Lifeguard, or Wet Dog. I love the effect that they have in a set of several monochromatic colors, but they are definitely a beautiful and serene statement on their own.
