When planning a family-friendly kitchen, we all remember key things like dishware, table coverings, and baby and toddler seating. But we spotted a list of design tips over at Style at Home, compiled by designer Kimberley Seldon, which offers up some dos and don'ts that may never have crossed our minds. Some of her tips include: using slipcovers wherever possible; being prepared to replace upholstery every five years; and avoiding eggshell paint and opting instead for satin, pearl or semigloss finish, for maximum cleanability.
