Brand New, Never Used Maharam Merger Rug – $600 or best offer – Material research primarily determines all of Hella Jongerius’ designs. Her extensive portfolio includes single pieces exhibited at galleries, mass-produced items sold at retail stores, design of airliner interiors and even the redesign of the North Delegates’ Lounge at UN Headquarters in New York. Jongerius was just beginning her career when she was approached by Maharam to work on a project for its 100th anniversary. Today, she works as Maharam’s design director, and many of her textiles are found in the permanent collections at the Art Institute Chicago, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and MoMA. – SHIPS

Mid Century Modern Dixie 9 Drawer Dresser/Credenza – $695 – It can’t get anymore Mid Century Modern than this 9 drawer Dresser/credenza by Dixie. MCM style elements include the use of the dramatic wood grain in the drawer faces, the extra high elegant legs and the long bar drawer pulls. The color is much closer to the Danish teak pieces with a subtle red hue to the wood color vs the dusty brown shade of other domestic MCM pieces. All wood construction with dovetail drawer joints. The top has some not very significant blemishes appropriate to the age no water rings or ugly scratches. There are some marks from the legs of a TV moved around on the top but hardly noticeable.
