The online auction of Detroit's iconic Fisher Building starts today. It's reported that it could sell for as little as $30 million.
Built in 1928, the 30-story art deco office building was designed by Albert Kahn. The three-story lobby contains forty types of marble, and the barrel-vaulted ceiling features vivid mosaics by Hungarian artist Géza Maróti. It's also home to the 200-seat Fisher Theatre, and radio stations WJR, WDBD and WDRQ.
The auction runs through Wednesday, June 24, with bids starting at $3.5 million.
