Did My Parent's PolyCotton Sheets Give My Boyfriend Scars?

Q: My boyfriend and I visited my parents house last week on our vacation, and he found himself getting - ahem - really bad burns on his knees after a few days that even bled and stopped our lovemaking in its tracks. We've never had this problem before in our own home. My parent's bedding is all polyester/cotton blend. Is this the culprit or were we just more randy than usual??  Sent by BklynGirl

Editor: Dear BklynGirl,

Remember rug burns? Without being a fly on your wall, it would be hard to say actually what happened in your parents house, but I can tell you that Poly/Cotton sheets will chafe a lot quicker than 100% cotton when a lot of pressure is applied, AND they heat up against the skin as well. SO, it's very possible that this is the culprit. If you were to replicate your nighttime sport at home on cotton sheets and not injure your knees, then you would know for sure. Please let us know what happens. :)

Best, Maxwell
