This year's DIFFA Dining by Design event will be in its founding city, Kansas City, just over a week from now. Then, it's on to Chicago. The 2010 show launched in New York back in March, coinciding with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. Each city's show features both local and national designers. Dining by Design will be in Kansas City from April 30-May 1, 2010 and Chicago from November 4-6, 2010, before moving on to San Francisco. Here's a little of the Kansas City back story from Habitually Chic: John Rufenacht is not only a talented interior designer but is also the founder of Dining by Design. I think a lot of New Yorkers would be surprised to know that this wonderful event was begun in Kansas City more than fifteen years ago and has become the signature event for DIFFA chapters nationwide.
