Sing Your Favorite Disney Songs with a Chorus of Celebrities During the ‘Disney Family Singalong’

You can have your own Disney singalong any time, but this week, people across the country will be singing with you. On Thursday, April 16, ABC will be showing an hour-long Disney singalong featuring celebrity singers including Christina Aguilera, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Gad, John Stamos, and many, many more.

The Disney Family Singalong, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will take place from 8 to 9pm ET. You can expect songs from Disney classics like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story, as well as more recent hits like High School Musical, Moana, and, of course, Frozen.

If you haven’t memorized all your favorite songs, that’s okay — an animated character will guide you through on-screen lyrics. According to Deadline, the special will also include PSAs about Feeding America’s resources for people facing hunger due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories or music. We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in everyone’s home in a way that only the magic of Disney can,” said Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment.

For Disney fans, this is one of many ways to stay entertained while Disney parks are closed around the world. Others include official behind-the-scenes tours, virtual rides, and drawing lessons from Disney animators.
