Get Married at Disney World’s Tower of Terror and Say “I Do” in Another Dimension
When you think of a Disney wedding, certain images come to mind: the bride pulling up in a horse-drawn carriage, bridesmaids dressed to the nines like princesses, and the picture-perfect backdrop of Cinderella’s castle. That’s certainly one version of it, but Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings offers all kinds of venues for nuptials.
You can say “I do” in front of the Tree of Life at the Animal Kingdom, exchange vows in the country of your choice at Epcot, or hold your ceremony aboard a Disney Cruise ship. Or, for a truly one-of-a-kind wedding, you can get married in the Tower of Terror courtyard. Yes, really.
If the Tower of Terror is your favorite ride at Disney World, this may very well be your dream wedding. Picture this: You’re walking down the aisle toward your partner, about to be married. You’re surrounded by your family, friends, and loved ones. When you gaze up to take it all in, looming in the background is the Hollywood Tower Hotel, an old, dilapidated building haunted by the ghosts of five people trapped in the fifth dimension.
Okay, we’re exaggerating. From the looks of the photos, getting married in the Tower of Terror courtyard has more of an “old Hollywood glamour” vibe than a “scary horror story” one. Still, for fans of the ride, the spook factor definitely adds to the ambiance.
Wedding ceremonies held at the Tower of Terror courtyard begin 90 minutes after the park closes. The Hollywood Tower Hotel illuminates the space and serves as a stunning, sophisticated backdrop that will make you feel like it’s the 1930s. As Bustle reports, you may even be able to rent the ride itself for the evening.
A Tower of Terror wedding isn’t for everyone. But if it’s for you, it’s really for you.
