To me, the best looking family homes are those that manage the right balance between grown-up style and children's needs. Too many toys in the living room makes the space look like an in-home daycare. No toys in sight signals that children aren't welcome in the room.

In my quest to find new places for all of Santa's generous gifts, I came across this photo ob Simply Grove and paused. The ornate and stately all white mantel is not at all spoiled by the placement of all the colorful toys. In fact, the toys add visual interest and make a fabulous display. It's a reminder that there is room for toys and children's things in any decor.
