DC-based firm, Division1 Architects, is responsible for many of the metro-area's modernist developments and residential projects. One of their latest is a Dupont Circle home that the firm re-imagined into an airy oasis, filled with innovative light-enhancing features and a variety of eco-friendly systems.

Urban Turf explains that the house was originally a series of choppy rooms. However, you'd never guess it from the soaring ceilings and the ethereal flow of light filtering through the interior glass panels that it boasts in its current state. Division1 Architects, created two separate apartments within the home: a one bedroom ground level unit, and a three bedroom upper level unit with a rooftop deck. The sleek spaces are kept energy efficient with a variety of green technologies such as radiant heating and solar energy.
