Spell With Flickr: DIY Alphabet Prints

Spell With Flickr: DIY Alphabet Prints

Sep 18, 2007

We see it in a lot of nurseries... the baby's name, spelled out in artwork on the wall. But we love the new twist the Spell With Flickr tool puts on typical nursery alphabets. We first spotted this fun tool on Nested, and we cannot stop playing with it We love how easy it is... just input a name, and up it comes, spelled out via Flickr photographs of individual letters. Best of all, for you picky font types, you aren't stuck with a font you don't like.

Just click each individual letter and the tool serves up a new photograph of that letter. Keep clicking until you are happy with each letter and font. Links to each photograph making up your whole name are also provided, and depending on the license on the photo, you can then print them out yourself and frame them individually. Because the full effect can be a little quirky, we can also see this working well on the wall of an older child, since the end result of Spell With Flickr doesn't have a 'baby' vibe to it.
