Sometimes all you need is a new perspective. You may have gotten used to an ugly clump of tangled cords in a desk drawer, but usually the last thing anybody wants to do is put them out on display. This project by Brit Morin goes to show sometimes putting your gear out for easy access can actually look good.

Of course, this homemade organizer helps keeps everything looking great, too. Draping cables and cords over a colorful bungee cord framed with stained wood turns typical desk drawer clutter into something of interest.

The Brit + Co. project turns basic bungee straps into a storage solution for various accessories, including power cords, USB cords, and a pair of headphones.

We love the way the arrangement looks grouped together with the sunglasses and scarf organizers. It proves there really is visual strength in numbers, and that's a good thing when you've got as many cords as we do.

If you're looking for a retail alternative to the DIY solution above, there are these Droog Straps, available domestically at All Modern; giant and strong silicone rubber bands designed to hold books, magazines, headphones, and any other variety of home office accessories.
