Some cleaning products aren’t only unnecessary to get the job done, but cost more money than we need to spend, and aren’t as healthy as we want them to be. Enter these DIY cleaning tools, which you can make, then reuse, during everyday cleaning, and certainly for your upcoming spring spree.

Above, homemade cleaning cloths are easy with some basic materials and a glass container. Pull out a cloth when needed, according to Live Simply, then wash and return to the jar. Refill with her cleaning solution as needed.

Just Google “DIY dryer balls” for lots of ideas on how to make alternatives to dryer balls, but I’m loving this tutorial from Petals to Picot so very much.

Likewise, there are tons of ways to make refills for Swiffer mops, most of which involve old orphan socks or crocheted covers. Above, Mom Advice shares these reusable pads for dry mops. (There’s also a recipe for the wet version.)
